It’s the mods that cause the delay in releasing the patch. In the summer, Larian Studios will be conducting thorough testing of the tools, involving modders to ensure their effectiveness. The closed alpha starts today, followed by a closed beta in July.
Mod in Baldur’s Gate 3 will be seamlessly integrated with the mod.io service. First, the modifications will be rolled out on PC, followed by Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox. Mods will first be developed exclusively for PC, and later carefully chosen and made available for consoles.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
